JAPAN: Isuzu wins Saab engine-supply order

Japanese vehicle-maker Isuzu Motor Ltd said Thursday (30/11/00) that it is
to supply low-emission V6 diesel engines to Sweden's Saab Automobile AB from
next year, report internet auto-sources (1/12/00).
Citing Yoshiko Shibata, spokeswoman for the Japanese truck-maker, these
sources say that the initial shipment of 10,000 engines -reported in the
Nihon Keizai Shimbun newspaper - was not correct.
According to Shibata, the number is 'very wrong' although she did not reveal
Isuzu's own estimates.
