This topic was raised once before but I am not sure where it went or how far? Is there any sense in making a list of things that we might be able to get at a discount if we buy in bulk?

I have been astounded how, from Kevin's suggestions within the last few days, the people have rallied round to improve this site.

Putting our minds together might mean discounts. I am not thinking spoilers or fat tail-pipes - more run of the mill stuff where more of us are likely to commit.

What do you think we could do with between us?

Yes, great improvements on site, done so quickly .
As for group arrangements for discounts and stuff, have thought about it, and sound like it could working in theory.
But.. in practice, human nature as it is means that someone who reads a good idea, e.g Rolling Roads with a SAAB fleet turning up, Bulk tyre buys, or whatever, will usually say they are up for it, then other people may then go along once the ball is rolling. In stark reality, things can get into a mess, people changing minds, sudden gas bill to pay or whatever.
Prehaps a good organiser can come up with a "Lists" type Forum, someone can collate peoples wants and ideas, where they live, and maybe come up with a definite deal on something, and do things more profesionally.(sorry, Im to unorganised for that).
Sorry to be devils advocate, but I am saying this as I am as guilty as anyone at "jumping in at the deep ends !!

Yeah, I'd like to take up a project such as breaking an old 9000 turbo. I need the bits and it would help me to learn what-goes-where, problem is I don't have the storage or working space for such a project.

If anyone wants to share in that I'd like to hear from you. Midlands preferably!
