I have a 1990 Saab 900 16valve with 120,000 miles. I need new shock absorbers. I love this car for the way it handles. What replacement shocks should I consider?

Unless you are doing any other suspension mods, such as lower, stiffer springs, stick with the original equipment Sachs/Boge shocks. These are more than adequate. You could try fitting polyurethane bushes to the lower end as this tends to stiffen up the handling a treat for a total cost of less than five quid
