on the approval of a couple of my fellow saabists i used saabstyle cardiff for my 66,000 service on my 9-5, those in the know will tell you this is the big service where they attack virtually everything on the car, and i had been quoted by valley saab somewhere in the region of £500 for the privalege.
Gary is fully saab trained and was senior tech at the local franchise for 15 years (or so i am led to believe), they use genuine saab parts and are approved by saab uk for servicing as long as they do so...anyway the service was carried out as per book, i also had to have both of the non-return valves on the washers replaced as an extra, and was given a 9000 cd as a loan car (a little tired but did the job it was required to)....total cost £226...impressed??? oh yes!

as an aside he has sveral 9000s/900c and even a few 96s that are being used for spares, so anybody looking for a 2nd hand bit might be worth the shout...he may also have a 96 for sale very shortly...offers around the £1500 is what i was quoted

his new phone number is 02920 813491

Hi Nigpem,

Are they still based inn the Colchester Avenue Trading Estate??? They also used to have a web site of some sort...can't remember the address though.... http://www.saabscene.com/forum/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

Do they have Tech II there as well???

And Yes, Gary did work in the local francise. I think he did most of my previous C900 servicing when he was at the francise.......

Never had any problems after servicing.

You seem to found a nice solution to our ever growing servicing and maintenance costs!!!

How are you enjoying Wales by the way????

Thanks for this topic.

My service is due in July and will give them a call.

Glad to hear you like Wales.

I live in Neath so Cardiff is only 30 mins away.
