Has anyone else dealt with the above in Hatfield ?

I went over to see Roy this morning after being quoted 80.75+VAT for new gear knob to be fitted by my local SAAB garage!. He did me a freebie.

He seems very clued up about SAABS, and his labour rates are somewhat less than main dealers.

A big thumbs up to them, although the "downside" is that, I am being sold 16" wheels, leather interior, springs and shocks from a 9000 AERO for my 9000 CSE !, Of course depends on how you see it, its a positive for me, downside for my bank account !

In my dealings with them they have always beeen helpful and very knowledgable
cheaper than a dealer and probably a lot more competant
sorted out my abs no probs
two hours and a second hand sensor and the bill was less than a c-note
the dick turpin dealers said you have to replace all the sensors thats £500 and 5 hours work and that might not fix the problem....

unfortunately they are along way from my house !!!!!

Lucky for me they are only 4 miles away and seem to have a massive supply of used/new parts!

Another place I recommend too (Just recommended Carlssons in another post). Two Stroke to Turbo were very helpful.

Can't remember the details, but some years ago I felt that they misled me over some parts pricing - my card ended up being charged more than they quoted me. I think it was a large and, I felt totally unjustifiable, sum for posting a relatively small & light part. I am not suggesting that it was deliberate, but there are plenty of other specaialists around and I never used them again after that.

Ive always found thee pricing a little steep (parts that is), they know its a relative niche and play on it!

However, the dealings i have had with them have always been, quick and efficient. And return parts, money backs, have been executed without any problems, so id give em 10/10 for service, 5/10 for competitiveness. Depends what you are used to i guess.
