Insurance depends on so many variables that it is difficult to draw comparisons between people with different circumstances.

Speaking with JezF the other evening we got talking about insurance and Jez mentioned Adrian Flux insurance.

The renewal is due on the 9-3 Sport, and a quote from Adrian Flux for insurance with class one business use and Eibach pro-kit suspension works out a full £100 cheaper than the renewal quote from Direct Line ...and they were the cheapest I could find last year!

Adrian Flux seem to be well worth a try - especially if you are throwing a few mods on your motor

Changed my Insurance today as Performance Direct have been less than impressive- so rang Greenlight this morning- got cover on my modified 9000 with Business mileage for £610- £100 cheaper than P-D.

Adrian Flux- hmm must have been unlucky as they never answered any emails or requests for a quote, I rang them yesterday- said that they would return my call and i have not heard back

Adrian Flux were very good when I finally got through to them, cheaper with a modded 9000 than a standard 9000 with my then current insurer, but still £200 more than my latest insurer on a standard 9000. Hence being a model citizen with complete respect for the law I decided to stay standard

I faxed all my details to Adrian Flux and they emailed me with some questions then a quote.

Telephoned them to accept quote/check details and pay - got through first time yesterday and everything hunky dory

It has been quite easy to deal with Adrian Flux so far in my experience.

/john, Greenlight (http://www.greenlightinsurance.com/) (01277 236030) may also be worth a punt. They worked out incredibly cheap for mine- with all mods declared and an embarrassing number of points

Yeah, I tried Greenlight, too, but they were more expensive for my circumstances.

Carole Nash Insurance is great for cars over ten years and mileage restricted to 6000. I'm paying £328 fully comp for agreed value (£6000) Saab 900i Convertibe '91 - number is: 0800 258000

That isn't that cheap considering I have my Elise (with mods declared) on classic for under 500 quid with 4 named drivers. http://www.saabscene.com/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif

I pay £274 and £278 for my CS Aero and 9000 2.3 Carly, both with 3 named drivers and while rated as group 17G.

Cor, that's why you've got so many Saabs!

Do you get a discount on road tax or just print them in your garage?
