Can anybody recommend a garage to replace the clutch on a 99 in Birmingham (Selly Oak/Harborne area)? I'm new to the area and the nearest dealer is too far. Thanks

I would recommend highgatesaab.com (http://www.highgatesaab.com/) who are based in Walsall.

I have driven all the way from Brighton to them to get work done on my 96V4. They are into the 96 and 99 models. I have known Ken and Mel at Highgate for a few years now and am happy to recommend them.

Alternatively, someone local to the area may have some other suggestions.

A little further afield in Telford are Scanparts who I can highly recommend.

Scanparts replaced the clutch and gearbox of my 9000. V.helpful and no problems. Quite easy to find as just off the Motorway, St Georges, Telford.

I know you commented they were too far, but I would recommend Concept Saab in Eachelhurst. I live in Edgbaston, and it's only really a 15 minute drive, and quite a simple route from Selly Oak. (Straight down the Bristol road!)

They may be a current dealer, but they are nothing if not courteous and helpful (Paul's the chap to deal with in the service dept) and when I was there getting my car serviced, a V4 96 pulled up for a full service!
