Somebody in a Saab Shop in France show me on official Saab documents that this is a 900 S (low pressure turbo) registration number. Who is right ? And how is it possible ? adrian 03-28-2001, 11:26 AM Franck, no problem with your VIN number, the 5th digit is a little confusing after 1986 it was for internal purposes only so ignore it. The 8th digit is the crucial one - S is a low pressure turbo 16v OR its a turbo 8v. As yours is an 8v then you have a full blown turbo (no LPT 8v).
