The tan interior on my 87 Turbo 16 Convertable is now looking sad and worn, and I am thinking of recolouring the leather. Has anyone out there tried this? If so what did you use and how effective was the treatment? Does the leather need treating first? The car is in cherry red and I am considering a black interior. Any advice would be gratefully received.

Not tried re-colouring but Saddle Soap followed by Neats Foot Oil will clean and feed the leather really well (get it from any good horse/saddle place - better and cheaper than the car products).
