Hello there

Does anyone have experience of retrofitting air conditioning and/or cruise control to a 900? Grateful for any thoughts

air con is possible, but expensive, even using used parts
Cruise and ABS are a no-no as upright are different

Sorry to differ with PD but I fitted cruise to my 1985 900T8v, all the parts were taken from a 1984 900 T16 Aero and it was an easy DIY installation. Need to remove center console and then lower dash plus a bit of wiring. I also had to strip and repair the indicator/cruise switch which would not stay in the 'up' (turn right) position. When you get the bits let me know and I could send details of what I remember doing. Obviously like everything you have to judge for yourself how competant you are to do the job and my advice is just that friendly help from a DIY Saab enthusiast not a Saab Master Technician.

I've had no experience of Aircon

So, cruise control is possible. Do you have a list of the needed parts? (I drive a 93 classic 900 convertible, no turbo).

Thanks,
Maarten

Thanks, Adrian.

Any idea what parts exactly I need for the cruise control? I could always go somewhere like 2Stroke2Turbo for a used kit, but they're a bit pricey for my liking.

Air-con is, by the sounds of it, a specialist job. I'll make a few phone calls and see what turns up.

Cheers

You need:

Vacuum pump fitted in three holes in left inner wing.
Pressure switch fitted next to pump and connects to connector that currently has short across it.
Two pedal switches (vacuum and electrical) plus their mounting braket.
Relay
Indicator/cruise switch
Bellows with chain that operates throttle plus its bracket which fits round two mounting holes for the heater matrix cover.

Plus wiring loom with control unit and some vacuum pipe.
