I don't use the air con much, but I know it used to work! When tried a few days ago, it won't work at all. So far I've found:

1. The compressor clutch doesn't energise in normal a/c operation. If I by-pass the relay, it operates fine. So something in the electrics is stopping power getting to the clutch.
2. The fuses are OK. The relays are OK when tested off the car (coil & contact sides).
3. There's fluid and pressure in the system. However I haven't measured the pressure yet.

Any ideas on what's wrong, or information such as a wiring diagram for the A/C system, will be very gratefully received.

Chris

I think you`ve already found the solution-pressure. There is a pressure switch in the system that cuts power to the compressor when the system needs re charging. Question is: why is it low on gas ? If you have a leak, not only are the A/C components expensive, but you have to have another re charge! Good luck

Thanks for the advice.

Anyone know the pressure switch settings?
