Hi there all,
I'm new to this site so please excuse me if I ask some stupid questions!
I have a SAAB 95 2.2TiD 02 Plate. It was my first brand new car 7miles off the show room floor, cut a long story - my wife had it for a number of years while I drove a company car. The car has been driven into the ground and I finally got it back after my divorce - hooray!
I then turned to this site to start, as there was virtually no power and wanted to understand why. Basically the EGR value needed cleaning and I thought I'd try and give it a clean myself and it seems to have done the trick - so thanks for all those that posted how to clean the value.
I want to keep the car and restore to its former show room glory, just for sentimental reasons, I worked really hard to pay for it and would like to get to use it again before i decide if I should keep it or not.
Im basically looking for a car (SAAB) guru who can help me service it, change pipes, shocks, clean engine, replace breaks etc and bring it back to life!
As I had a taste for cleaning the value, I almost feel with the right guidance and tools I could do most of the basic stuff myself.
So is there anyone with tools and the patience to guide me? I'm happy to pay with curry and beer and hopefully make some friends along the way.
In return, apart from curry and beer I'm pretty handy with computers so happy to repay with technical help!
I live in Hertford, but happy to travel withing 15 mile radius, so North London, Essex etc.
If I'm being unrealistic and just need to take it to the garage then happy to hear the truth.
Happy to discuss via this thread or text/call me on 07771 856105
Thanks for listening to me rabbit on.
Raj
