Sorry if this information has been given before, I have searched the forum but not been able to uncover a specific answer so wondered if someone could help?

After sitting for a while I think the clutch needs a bleed as the biting point is sitting quite low. I am not sure exactly where the bleed point is, can anyone point me in the right direction and advise any precautions to take please? I have bled the brakes but not the clutch before.

Also, I wish to change the gearbox oil this weekend. I would prefer to drain it rather than siphon it. Mine is the model without the drain plug. Is it simply a case of removing the plate on the side of the box where the dipstick is (near the exhaust manifold), and just draining and re-filling once I have put the section back?

Any information much appreciated.

bleed nipple is by the slave cylinder, think on the nearside. You will not completely empty the box unless to syphon

There's a serious risk to the master cylinder, since bleeding it moves it through a wider range of movement - a borderline cylinder will take that opportunity to give up the ghost. Mine did...

It's not the end of the world - they're not expensive, they're not difficult to change, and it's a DAMN sight better to have it go in your drive/garage than at the traffic lights in the peeing rain when you're already late to be somewhere!
