My son was driving my 900 yesterday when he was moderately gently rear ended - both nearside light clusters have gone and the little quarter panel below the rear lights has been pushed forward - will be getting a quote to repair from Saab and I have the other driver's details. One question on that panel - I am pretty sure it is plastic but can anyone confirm and how is it fitted - screwed in from behind the boot trim?
Thanks
Mike

Hi,
the pannel is plastic & is secured with 4 bolts protruding from the pannel that are secured from the inside of the boot behind the trim. I had to find one of these myself at christmas after a young girl & 2 lads wrote their peugeot 306 off by driving into the back of me while I was sat in traffic. Amazingly, the only damage to my 93 was a broken corner pannel & a scuff mark on the bumper. The 306 went to the scrap yard!

Thanks for that Andy - it was a van that hit the back of mine and my son said there was quite a bit of damage to the van and steam coming from the rad - no marks on the bumper of mine - tough plastic these Swedes use! :D
