Well I thought I would post some mpg results I got at the weekend!
I have now owned my TiD for almost 5 years now & with a heavy lead foot & town driving I have seen the SID as low as 37.9mpg! now with the price of diesel I have been a bit more in economy mode! still doing short trips to the shops & my work in my home town I get an average of 39.8mpg!
One full tank I get about 420 miles! I know this is poor BUT it's with all the short trips & stopping & starting! when I 1st got the Saab the wife did a 30 mile round trip to her work & her light foot the SID would read 45.5mpg! BUT now with me just using it for a 2/3 mile to my work & trips to the shops the mpg is never above 40mpg!
Weekend trip
Was heading south to Fleetwood (Blackpool) then Middleburgh!
Set the cruise control for 74mph (70mph on tomtom) & headed south! was in no hurry & being night didn't want to be caught out with speed cam/cops
After about 2hrs of non stop driving the mpg was at 49.5mpg & even went as high as 50.3mpg when going thro 50 mph average speed cam zones for road works  this is the best I have seen for mpg as the last time I went south it was mid 47mpg BUT I had cruise set at 80mph!
Did a round trip of 535 miles & still had a quarter of a tank of diesel left!
So anyone wanting to know what the 9-3 TiD does for MPG your looking at between 37mpg & 50+mpg! the Saab is an excellent car to take on long journeys it just eats the miles!!
Hope this is useful to someone wanting to know.
