some F*****g t**t decided to drive into my gm900 se turbo at the supermarket the other day, my insurance company thinks it might have to be written off. If they do what is a good price to take??? if it is written off and it is a cat C or D what price should I pay for the repairs myself???

The car is a 1994 (L) GM900 SE Turbo, in vgc. The damage is front bumper gone on near side, front wing on near side and indicator on near side gone.
Thanks

If you don't think it's worth writing off or the insurance company are takign the p*ss with their offer, ask them to replace the car for an equal model.

That usually brings them down to earth.

Get a couple of estimates of good indy bodyshops as a guide.

New wing is about £600 as I am still waiting to get mine done (had a quote from Saab), bumber about £300ish and I guess indicator about £100 ish so with new parts about £1000 - probably getting close to economic write off in terms of what they value the car at. I have a GM900S turbo in A1 condition (apart from the dent). See what you can push them to and possibly offer to buy it back and get replacement parts from breakers?
