Hi Guys,
I have a Sony R/C unit in my 9000 and the sound ain't too special (nor can I play cds). What I need to know is how difficult would it be to fit a complete saab sound system (ie. underseat amp, cd changer in boot, saab head unit) into my humble motor? I can get hold of the amp, etc, but I can't see much in the way of pre-wiring that would make things so easy.
I have been looking through the forum threads on this subject but can't find what I'm looking for, so any advice will be gratefully received!
In anticipation, thanks http://www.saabscene.com/forum/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

Hi Andysaab

I have had a look for some pre-wiring to make the job a bit easier too but other than for a simple cd head unit installation I couldn't seem to find any.
Sorry.

Are you going to upgrade your speakers too? I was just wondering what you were going to use.
I am looking for some good speakers as direct replacements for the standard ones.

Good luck with your install.

Cheers

My '95 Aero has the Sony R/C + 10disc changer and amp installed.... and looks to be standard........ so maybe you yave the same R/C as I do, and that means just get the sony amp and CD changer off ebay or somewhere and should plug straight in http://www.saabscene.com/forum/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

Thanks 9K2.3T and Grentarc for your replies.
I wasn't going to upgrade the speakers - I was just hoping that the amp and oe 'superior' head unit would get the best out of the ones I've got.
As for the Sony R/C, mine is a sad effort with no CD play buttons at all, so I'm pretty sure that Trollhatten must have been in a temporary depression when my 9000 was put together
I think there may be too much involved in amping it up, so if anyone can give me a great steer on a single CD playing R/C then
